It's great to see once again a new trackmaker winning ToM the first time: future design. (Edit: sorry, it's his 2nd win!) Many congrats to you! He also broke two records in the ToM statistics: He is now the winner with the most votes with 17 votes. At the same time, he is the most popular winner: 85% of the voters voted for his track (17 of 20) ! Great work!
But with 15 votes, PitbullFIN is very close behind him. Congratulations to you, too!
Congrats to all other successful/upcoming trackmakers! :-)
I want to say thanks to everyone who has nominated any track or has voted in any month for ToM in 2007. I'm very happy with this year! Special thanks I want to say to Raska, who is IMO working even harder than me for ToM: His self-created ToM competition is a complete success, plus he's still the person who is reliable for the nominations. Many thanks, mate!
There's one thing I'd like to announce: please don't forget to vote for the Track of the Year 2007 ! In the ToY election we need even more voters than in the ToM elections to get a good result. I'll start the election tomorrow with explaining details.
And again a happy new year to the GeneRally community!
cheers, Georg

Happy 4th Birthday, Track of the Month!
Yes, it's true: ToM exists already 4 years, thanks to the founder LWing, who sadly isn't active in this forum anymore, and unfortunately I can't reach him by email. But of course he did a good thing when he has founded ToM in 2003. ;-)
This year the "special event" to celebrate the anniversary is already over: The ToM Competition, organized by Raska. It was a very successful event and we will probably repeat this event more often. Many thanks to Raska for organizing this compo, and of course thanks for his work as the nomination-poster! He is a really great mate! :-)

I want to congratulate you to your wins! But there are also 56 other good tracks that got elected! ;-) Half of them got at least 2 votes and Stockholm even reached 11 votes! (Last year: 4 votes) As you can see, the 5-votes rule shows good effects! :-) But there were also much more voters: last year it were 19, this time it were 31 ! Due to that, the result is better staggered IMO.
So it's also necessary to say thanks to all the voters who make a good election possible, and of course to all your help e.g. nominating or suggesting rule-changes like the 5-votes rule *thumbsup*. Cheers!

The downtime of the forum came right in the time of voting and I wanted to give a few days more so everybody has his chance to vote. I want to thank GeorgM very much, who organised the new host - but much more important - who programmed all the php-scripts, which support us to handle the page in the future. Thanks pal.
11th October 2004 Results of September online
The last election saw a long and constant track contributor taking the vistory: nielske. It's a bit curious because the participation was by accident. Usually his track Portland was supposed to take part in October. Anyway, I think the majority of the GR-community is happy about this success. The podium was completed by Bahrain by Gábor Kozma and JimmymetaL's Kaiowa. So congratulations to you all.As always the complete results can be found in the results section. Thanks to all trackmakers, nominating persons and voters.
22nd September 2004 Trackmaker competition ended
It was a nice competition with lots of nice contributions. And in the end, the guy whose idea it was won it also. Congratulations to Aeon, who created Lakewai Speedway - a clear and worthy winner. But also my repect to all other trackmakers who took the challenge. There were really orignal and diversified tracks. It was a pleasure to host this compo and I would say it was a real succes. Only the amount of votes could have been higher.10th September 2004 Election of August finished
Actual election ended today. Dover won this round and Piet's Book GP and Samuel_BR's Shanghai placed both 2nd and completed a nice looking podium. Participation was good again and the fact that this happens now quite regulary really satisfies me. Besides the award, of course. For the complete listing of the results have a look at the concerning subsection.6th September 2004 ToM anniversary competition takes chequered flag
Yesterday the birthday racing competition held it last events. As it was predictable quite early robylu the dominating driver of this small championship took the victory. He was the fastest on our 87,776 kilometres long journey with a total average speed of 126,51 km/h. This is over a minute faster than the followers. Congratulation to the victory, robylu! Of course all results can be found in the 1st Anniversary section.I want to thank the few people who joined and I hope you had fun.
A small reminder: There is one week left to create a track for the Circuit an Oval Track Design Competition.
18th August 2004 ToM hosts first special event
On Aeon's initiative Track of the Month will realise its first special event: Aeon's Circuit an Oval Track Design Competition. Take part in that interesting trackmaker competition. You find everything you need to know in the new Special Event subsection.11th August 2004 July
18 votes, 5 podium tracks and on winner. That are the short stats of the last election. Markus Möller is the second one who could celebrate a back-to-back win. But it's not enough for Markus to put Hundsbuckel at the top of the podium. He also claimed the 2nd place with his track Panamericana V2. Classic GP by Piet, Magny Cours by Gábor Kozma and Underpass by Naufr4g0 shared the third place. For the full results visit the results section. The voting attendance was good and I thank everyone for voting and nominating. Now hail to the king of July and congratulation to all the other succeful authors for their superb releases.
Now it's nominating time again. So watch the forums!
23rd July 2004 ToM competition changes deadlines
Because of private reasons I won't be able to check racefiles for the next week. Thus I thought it would be better to give you this time to race. Also the time of the last day was changed to give the GR racers from America a better possibility to take part. Now deadlines will generally end at 5:00 GMT (1:00 EST).This means the deadline for Nov8 and Arente but also for Nazareth and Assen is August 1st: 5:00 GMT.
20th July 2004 ToM Anniversary competition is underway
The first two rounds of the competition are finished. Both runs were won by robylu. Congratulations for that. He leads the championship by 1,343 seconds.Next rounds will take place at Strava's Nov8 and Flying_solo's Arente. Deadline for submission is next Sunday, 24:00 CET.
Note, that it's not too late to join. You will get 107% of the time of the last finisher for the missin rounds.
11th July 2004 ToM Anniversary competition ready for take-off
Gentlemen, start your engines! Today I made the last update before the competition starts. Because there were no replies from Tedminator and Piet, I moved their tracks to the back of the schedule. This means, we start with my Estoril and ChillyDog's Ile De Quebec. Deadline to submit the files for this two races is next Sunday, 24:00 CET.Because of yesterday's extraordinary result the competition will last two weeks longer than expected, provided that all permissions will come in time. I wish you lots of fun and good luck.
10th July 2004 Election of July finished - Congratulations to the winners
The election ended today and we have a constellation we never had before: with GP-Pantanal by vira lata, Greutleswald by Markus Möller, Imola 1967 by sgoodwin and IseoLake by chesterfield there are four winners. I thought this can only happen, when only few people vote, but this wasn't the case. With 18 voters we surely are back in the green region. I selfishly allege that this is caused by the new website with the new representation of the nominees, which makes me happy and is a satisfaction for the work it was. Anyway, congratulations to all winners but also to the followers. It stands out, that there is a wave of new authors. Nice to see that. You can see the full results here. With the end of the election Track of the Month completes its first year. As announced I have calculated some statistics which you can read here. It's another look on the elections and it was made for fun. Don't forget the competition which starts next week. Problems and suggestions can be discussed in the forums in this thread. There were little changes in the schedule. We now race 2 races per week only. I hope you participate.
Of course the nominees page was reseted and is now open for new entries. To nominate simply write a personal message to me in the forums.
3rd July 2004 ToM welcomes you at its new home
Today, with the start of the election of June, the brand new homepage of the GeneRally Track of the Month went online. We can proudly present you the source in ToM matters. You can find everything here concerning ToM and a little bit more. New and old results, actual nominees, rules and so on.And even if you don't know anything about Track of the Month, what you should change immediately, and only look for really good GeneRally tracks - this page will help you. We offer you the trackpacks from all elections (Well, we have to link to the forums at the moment, but as soon we have enough webspace we will offer them directly.) and if you can't get enough we have a collection of links to all the websites of the succesful authors.
There are still some small things to do. But basically you already have evrything you need. If you find a mistake then please send an e-mail to me.
